Dear lunch monitor, I know I started the year strong with spaghetti and quesadillas, veggie slices and cheese cubes, but it’s December. There are special days, performances, and snowman cookies to buy then put on a plate like I made them.
So, if you see ice cream cones in my son’s lunchbox as his snack, no you didn’t. You saw carrot sticks. That’s what you saw. You saw Swedish ginger cracker gnome hats, a traditional Swiss holiday treat made from buckwheat, molasses, and snow.
You didn’t see ice cream cones and wonder what the heck is going on. You saw asparagus strawberry salad.
I have not started my shopping, only 3/4 of the decorations are up.
You saw lasagna.
When you think about it, ice cream cones are not that different from toast. Mainly, it's in the shape. We don't discriminate against shapes, now do we?
For all you know, those cones could be full of berries. They're not, but they could be.
Anyway, there are no cones. Those are protein bars.
Last week was the school Christmas show. It was in the middle of the day. I know it had to be because that's when kids are in school but it was in the middle of the day.
I've never seen or purchased an ice-cream cone in my life. What are you talking about?
I got an email about pizza day. I'd love to come in and volunteer but I don't do that. Where can I send a gift card in lieu of my presence?
Last year, I forgot to buy a teacher's present and presented it months later. It was also a gift card.
I'm trusting you to keep what's in my son's lunch box between us. If so, I have a box of ice-cream cones with your name on it.
Thank you for your cooperation.
I think tomorrow is pajama day. But I’m not sure because I blocked the school’s IP.
Also, do you like gift cards?
love,
Bunmi
