I wrote a new book series

Book mail! I have a new series of books coming out called David’s Diary about an elementary school kid who has a ton of heart and maybe an IEP.

David’s the type to forget his backpack at home but go to war for a friend.

He’s the kind of kid who forgot the history diorama was due (or existed) but can name 45 fun facts about black holes. That has to count for something.

He and his best bud Nate (who hates ichy tags, foods touching, and small talk) learn together about friendship, faith, and just have fun being kids.

I wanted to write about kids who don’t fit in the box. They make a fort out of it.

I also wanted to show kids who have struggles that they can overcome, one battle at a time with people who love them & soft places to land when it gets hard.

We can learn. We can be brave. And that with God, anything really is possible. Even eating salad maybe.

I’m currently working on the companion website for kids and parents who need hope.

I’ll talk about my own past, middle school diagnosis and struggles (I hated school), miracles, raising kids who need MORE, and how these books can be a friend to a kid who who needs one.
