New Book: Your Body! The Fuel Factory by Keith Lowe

Parents! I've been excited to share this brand spanking new book for awhile.

It's by author, illustrator, and dad Keith Lowe. You might remember Keith from the podcast episode we did together about picky eaters that introduced his previous children's book: The Titans of Taste. The Titans of Taste is about a group of legendary heroes that help two kids fend of the awful villain that is tasteless food.

Well, he's got a new book out, also food related, and it's awesome. Introducing: Your Body! The Fuel Factory.

My favorite children's books are the ones that both entertain and teach my kids. It's a huge bonus if there's an element of faith. This book checks all three boxes.

The Fuel Factory takes kids on an adventure that helps them learn how our bodies turn food into fuel that keeps us walking, breathing, working, and playing every single day.

The book imagines a young girl's digestive system as a massive factory where mini trade laborors embark on all kinds of shenanigans. The goal of the book is simple: for kids to walk away with an understanding of how our digestive tracts work and Keith nails it. Even parents will pick up some knowledge.

It's funny, educational (it aligns with many state standards), and the perfect addition to an intentional home library. If you homeschool and are looking for a way to supplement your elementary sciences unit, this book is a no-brainer.

But even if you don't homeschool, your kids will delight in the pages that are alive with action and don't shy away from the...grosser parts of digestion. Expect giggling.

Keith has launched a Kicktarter to raise funds to get this book printed. All of the illustrations are done and the pages are ready for your kids to laugh out loud to. All he needs are customers to pre-order so the printing can happen.
